Most of the folks working on Cp Murray are not even aware of the trellis of grape vines growing behind Building 1. A mix of unknown red and white grapes planted ca 1923 according to the Facilities Maintenance Office. This unique blend of 75% red/25% white is semi-sweet, which I am sure will only get better with age.
The name comes from the fact that I am the full time Supply Sergeant for the state headquarters of the Washington Army National Guard. Cp Murray is where the state headquarters is located.
It is our intent to auction this wine exclusively at the annual fund raiser of the National Guard Association of Washington with the proceeds going to the Minuteman Fund which provides financial assistance to Washington Guardsman in need.
